What Is Zlob

December 21st 2008 16:36
This is what happens to a Zlob infected PC

Zlob virus is recently on the loose and is creating havoc in PC'S. Zlob is trojan type of a virus, if you want precise terms but whatever it is, the thing to bother about is that it is really nasty. It has been quite a time since Zlob first emerged on the internet and since then it has mutated into many different forms, constantly putting worldwide computers into trouble.

Zlob virus is like most of the conventional malwares that are accidentally downloaded on PC's by internet users. Zlob is downloaded in a PC through an Active X codec that must be required to watch a video. These malwares usually come from malicious websites that may include pornographic sites making people watch a certain video which requires this Active X codec.
Most if the users don't pay attention to this thing and download such files from these malicious websites, inviting nothing but malware and viruses in their PC.

A Zlob is also downloaded in a similar fashion. Random surfing can't be the only method of falling prey to this Zlob trojan, in fact people who invent these things have grown really clever and they use certain clever method to attract people to a particular website which may include; some sort of social engineering methods or emailing people with the website links. Since these methods have some appeal for a normal user so they fall prey to the Zlob and other such malwares.

Many social platforms are used to do these things which raises so many question about the security of social websites.

A Zlob has a backdoor design which means that this malware works behind your explorer windows. Every time you open an explorer window this thing also loads itself inserting its malicious code which allows the attacker to gain access to your PC and flood it with other malware and softwares, it can even redirect you to malicious websites when ever you open internet explorer.

The easy and best method to remove it is to get a good spyware terminator which has an up to date virus data base. There is also a manual method, but it requires some professional knowledge.
