The Skycar

January 14th 2009 20:58

The Sky car is not a piece of some sci-fi film set neither is it a concept car build for the glamorous car shows. The Sky car is a real four wheeled car which can actually transform itself into a flying machine. This is no joke it is a reality! The car has already hit the road but it is not for sale to the public. This magnificent invention is not accomplished by any great brand instead this is the work of a genius British national Giles Cardozo who made this car in his own garage.

Now lets check out the features of this beauty. The car runs entirely on bio-fuel which makes it a completely environment friendly car, next it can easily accelerate up to the 100 km per hour mark in 4.5 seconds.

It has got a powerful fan, at its rear which can propel it up in the air with a speed of 60 km per hour. Once airborne the car transforms into a fully functional jet. It can easily fly at speed up to 110 km per hour. The Sky car easily flies at height reaching 3000 feet having a paraglider like aerodynamics.

The car has hit the road from London and will cover journey 6000 km long going through Spain,France,North Africa,The Sahara and Timbuktu. The journey is expected to be completed in 40 days.

Giles Cardozo, the inventor of the car is also the driver cum pilot of the car. As a car the Sky car can easily handle all sorts of terrain. Since it is a four-wheeler, it can easily tread on the unforgiving sand dunes of the Sahara.

Just if you are curious about Giles' journey across Europe and Africa, you can visit the Sky car's website to stay in touch with all the latest happenings related to this amazing car and the journey.
