Generating electricity is from body heat is a new innovation in scientific studies. Currently many countries are facing some severe energy crises due to over growth in population and there is a need for new and renewable energy resources which are not just resources but also are cheap energy resources through which the third world countries can benefit.
Generating electricity form body heat is based on a nano technology in which we harness energy from our muscle movements. Often you have seen or may have bought some watches which runs when a person wearing it moves. The concept is actually similar to this. This nano technology uses components called nano generators that are made up of semiconductor materials. These devices will convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. The concept requires that there must be a temperature difference between the system and the surrounding.
Also currently the so called Piezoelectric substances are researched further so that they could be employed to generate more electricity and would be able to run electronic components bigger than the conventional quartz watches that use such substances.
