Electronic Cigarettes

December 19th 2008 12:25

In our world every thing is going electronic, right from the introduction of the internet and then the term e-mail, every thing is being experimented to make more of these 'e-things'. The letter 'e' in before any such term means electronic which shows that the thing is electronically made.

Electronics have made huge computers, as large as rooms to the size of your palms. Electronics is not just confined to making thing small but it is a constant effort of electronic engineers to make things faster and much more user friendly. Electronics is also playing its role in health products aiding the field of medicine.

When we talk about Electronic Cigarettes that really doesn't mean that it is completely safe for health because it still contains nicotine as its main ingredient but of course in a much smaller quantity. These e-cigarettes actually employ a smart electronic machinery which is capable of controlling the amount of nicotine inhaled by a person.

This electronic device comes with replaceable cartridges that contains nicotine and propylene glycol mixture. It can also contain certain flavors like the one used in 'Seesha'. The machinery employs an atomizer to make a mist of nicotine and propylene glycol. Propylene glycol is actually used to make cigarette like smoke. Since the front part is as small cylinder with liquid in it, nothing is really burnt and there is a small LED at the front to simulate real smoking.

Although companies claim these cigarettes to be safer than conventional ones yet there is always a heath hazard associated with it as there is no guarantee in some countries regarding e-cigarette's quality.

I would advice smokers to actually quit the idea of smoking rather than pursuing for the these products which are nothing but new tricks of companies to get around the smoking ban. It is hard to really quit smoking yet there is a good treatment available to make this happen and you can always ask your doctor for advice on quitting this habit.

These Hazards of Smoking can also be read if you are trying to quit smoking
